RESEÑA BIOGRÁFICA

Médica especialista en Hematología y Trasplante de Médula Osea del Hospital Saint Louis de París, trabaja en el Hospital Universitario Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá y cuenta con experiencia de más de 30 años enel tratamiento de pacientes hematológicos. En la búsqueda para ofrecer alternativas complementarias al tratamiento de sus pacientes y ofrecer un tratamiento mas integrado; explora y estudia diferentes dominios de la formación holística: Medicina Tradicional China, Acupuntura, Homeosiniatría, Programación Neurolinguística, Mindfulness, Sanación Pránica, Psicoterapia Pránica, Psicoterapia Transpersonal, Kriya Yoga, entre otros. Hace mas de 16 años descubre el Qigong, también conocido como Chi Kung que integra todas las herramientas de las diferentes modalidades de Medicina Complementaria logrando gran impacto y profundos cambios en la salud de sus pacientes.

La Dra Mónica Duarte ha tenido la oportunidad de formarse con maestros del Qigong reconocidos a nivel mundial como el maestro Mingtong Gu con quien se certificó como instructora de Zhineng Qigong avanzado. Sifu Jerry Alan Johnson con quien continua su entrenamiento intensivo en Qigong Médico y en otras áreas del Qigong. Otros maestros como Sifu William Welch Jr., Dr Chris Holder, Dr Diego Sanmiguel en su entrenamiento integral de Qigong, le han aportado una visión mucho mas profunda del maravilloso mundo del Qigong. Desde hace mas de 10 años comparte su experiencia con pacientes, familiares y todos aquellos que deseen cambiar a un estilo de vida saludable.

MIS MAESTROS

SIFU DR WILLIAM WELCH JR

 

El Dr William Welch Jr. es Maestro en Artes Marciales chinas, especialista en Medicina Energética China y misticismo Daoista. Su entrenamiento inicia desde 1980, en la rama de Shaolin del Norte (Mizongquan) bajo la tutoría de Sifu Jerry Alan Johnson. Cuenta con una gran formación en las diversas áreas de las artes marciales como Baguazhang, Taijiquan y Xingyiquan, convirtiendose en el representante de combate más reconocido en la península de Monterrey. Obtiene el título máximo: Sifu (Maestro Instructor) después de muchos años de práctica regular y desarrollo de habilidades progresivas en artes marciales.

 

Simultáneamente se entrena en la aplicación de la “Traumatología Marcial” que consiste en la sanación de las heridas internas y externas ocasionadas durante los combates; formándose también en Herbología China, Acupuntura y Qigong Médico al lado de Sifu Jerry Alan Johnson.  En la antigua tradición China se enseñaban en forma integral tanto artes marciales como medicina y espiritualidad en los monasterios. Sifu Welch profundiza su formación en el misticismo daoista ordenándose como Sacerdote Daoista en el linaje Daoista Zhengyi y posteriormente se ordena como Abad Daoista Senior, creando el “Temple of the Celestial Fire”. 

 

Actualmente dirige el Templo de Fuego Celestial, contribuyendo a la salud de la comunidad y formación de discípulos en artes marciales, Qigong Médico y Misticismo Daoista.

SIFU DR JERRY ALAN JOHNSON

El Dr Jerry Alan Johnson es uno de los pocos Grandes Maestros no chinos, doctores practicantes y Director/Profesor de la Terapia de Qigong Médico a nivel mundial, Estudió Medicina China Energética por mas de 45 años y es reconocido tanto en China como en occidente como una autoridad líder en el Qigong Médico

El Dr Johnson es licenciado como Doctor en Medicina Tradicional China en Beijing, participando en comités nacionales e internacionales para promover la práctica del Qigong Médico. Es el fundador del Instituto Internacional del Qigong Médico en Monterrey California. Ha implementado programas de entrenamiento en Institutos de Qigong Médico reconocidos en Estados Unidos, Bélgica, Bermudas, Brasil, Canadá, Inglaterra, Francia, Alemania, Irlanda, Africa del Sur y Suecia.

Ha publicado numerosos artículos de investigación clínica en la práctica del Qigong Médico,  más de 20 libros que se utilizan en el entrenamiento y la práctica del Qigong Médico a nivel mundial.  Su mayor práctica y experiencia se ha concentrado en los pacientes con cáncer con excelentes resultados.  Ha sido galardonado en múltiples oportunidades por su gran contribución en el desarrollo y crecimiento del Qigong Médico tanto en occidente como en oriente. Es también maestro en artes marciales y cuenta con una profunda formación mística en Daoísmo, Cristianismo y Budismo.

MINGTONG GU

Mingtong Gu  es Maestro en Qigong de la Salud Zhineng Qigong y desarrolló una práctica integral conocida como Wisdom Healing Qigong. Mingtong Gu obtuvo su maestría en matemáticas de la Universidad de California en San Diego y posteriormente continuo su formación en Brandeis y Harvard.  Posteriormente Mingtong decide continuar una carrera artística, obteniendo maestría de bellas artes en fotografía y video artes de la Universidad del estado de Ohio. 

Mingtong se interesó en la iconografía espiritual del Hinduismo, Budismo, Taoísmo y otras tradiciones místicas, que lo conducen al mundo del Qigong.   En 1997, Mingtong regresa a China para formarse con el Gran Maestro Pang Ming en el hospital de Qigong sin medicinas. Participó en el acompañamiento de cientos de personas con enfermedades crónicas e “incurables” que mejoraban sus condiciones físicas y en muchos casos sanaban. El mismo se recuperó de patologías crónicas como asma, escoliosis, dolor de espalda y debilidad renal.  Siendo testigo de estas intensas experiencias sanadoras se inspira para dedicar su vida a la práctica y enseñanza del Qigong para la salud. Funda el Chicenter con sede actual en Santa Fe – Nuevo México donde entrena instructores, sanadores y muchos pacientes se benefician de sus prácticas y enseñanzas.

El Maestro Gu es reconocido como profesor y sanador internacional, en el 2011 fue galardonado como el Maestro de Qigong del año en el décimo tercer Congreso Mundial de Qigong para Qigong y Medicina China Tradicional.

¿EN QUE CONSISTE EL QIGONG ? 

El Qigong como práctica y tradición milenarias, siempre fue un provilegio limitado a maestros en artes marciales y a pocos discípulos escogidos, quienes continuaban la secreta tradición. Los conocimientos fundamentales del Qigong y la Medicina Energética China no se compartían con el público. Los maestros de Qigong se dedican a cultivar la energía en el contexto de diferentes especialidades como las artes marciales, la salud y el misticismo.

Una de las ramas del Qigong conocida como Zhineng Qigong o Qigong para la salud, fue desarrollada por el Dr Pang Ming quien contaba con la formación oriental por diferentes maestros tradicionales y con la formación médica occidental exigida para practicar Medicina en China durante la época de Mao. Fundó y desarrollo uno de los hospitales sin medicinas más reconocido en China: el Centro Huaxia de entrenamiento en Zhineng Qigong que reportó resultados positivos en los mas de 200,000 pacientes (tratados mas como
estudiantes) que participaron en las prácticas regulares en este hospital.
Para la Medicina Tradicional China, la práctica del Qigong es uno de los pilares fundamentales, así como tambien existe la especialidad del Qigong Médico que ofrece tratamientos para todas las enfermedades, comprendiendo las diferentes subespecialidades de la medicina. Sifu Jerry Alan Johnson además de contar con una formación extraordinaria e integral en las diferentes áreas de la Medicina Tradicional China, es el promotor principal de la formación en la especialidad del Qigong Médico en el mundo occidental, reconocido por las entidades gubernamentales chinas para difundir este conocimiento trascendental.
Es así que el maravilloso mundo del Qigong, aunque muy desconocido en nuestro medio occidental, es uno de los tesoros de la Medicina Oriental, que combinado con sabiduría a nuestra Medicina Occidental,puede ofrecer un manejo holístico de mayor impacto en nuestra salud integral. Si logramos comprender la importancia de reconocernos como seres humanos integrales que contamos con herramientas para equilibrar la salud, con las que podemos participar en forma consciente, activa y eficiente en nuestro bienestar; en vez de esperar que solamente los medios externos como los medicamentos, resuelvan todo para nosotros; podríamos disfrutar mucho mas de una excelente calidad de vida.

El Qigong integra cuatro pilares básicos para su práctica: secuencias de movimientos específicos, dirigidos a activar la energía y la sangre en los canales meridianos energéticos y sus tejidos correspondientes, eliminando bloqueos, excesos o deficiencias de energía que facilitan enfermedades de todo tipo; visualización que te conecta con el universo a tu alrededor, meditación que genera cambios en los patrones neurológicos y finalmente sonidos que por su vibración transforman la estructura energética de los tejidos.  No requiere movimientos complejos ni exigentes. Lo mas importante es praticarlos a tu propio ritmo y de acuerdo a tus condiciones físicas.

Aunque para nuestra formación occidental sea difícil comprender estos principios, te invito a que lo compruebes por ti mismo y descubras un abanico de posibilidades para tu salud y bienestar integrales.
